Where hard work & dreams… meet Opportunity

ATM-52

(See Brochure)  Advanced Training Methods for 52 weeks.  After testing the athlete, we are able to set protocols for the athlete that last in duration of 20 to 27 days.  We break the training into 4 phases.  The commitment level is on a phase by phase basis.  A phase typically is 2.5 to 3 months.  The overall goal and result is that we enhance athletic/human performance.

Our training systems are based on sound sciences and fundamental math, not hype or popularity such as many other training organizations out there.

The Situation:

A perfect example of an ATM-52 methodology and protocol equation for enhanced human performance for a skater to take an efficient and effective corner at top speed:

If Body Weight = (BW).  As a skater enters a corner at top speed the equation algorithm is BW x 4 = F (Force) BW or (Force Body Weight).

In this example, the athlete weighs 150lbs = BW, top speed fundamental math/science cornering algorithms calculate the athlete Force Body Weight = 600lbs @ 2 elements of Support = Sx2.  Suggesting an equation of 300lbs per Support element.

The Problem:

Most training programs would suggest (providing they do the math) squat work, Hip-Sled work and a lot of it.  The rest of the equation is (Sx2 - 1 = 1).  Why?  Fact is, a proper corner is taken with one leg and that leg is bent.  You can not train an athlete to do a one-legged 600lb squat.

The Answer:

ATM-52 training protocols position the athlete to absorb this sort of force without ever touching a weight.

Midwest Scouting & Sourcing

We put athletes on a more predictable track as it pertains to their hockey future and their given abilities.  We have found that the Midwest Scouting & Sourcing approach better serves the Athlete and the Programs/Teams that we work with compared to the traditional idea of “throwing a name in the hat”.  This is a service whereby we assist athletes with obtaining visibility (Getting into Try-Outs as appropriate), tracking the areas of needed in improvement (in terms of try-out feedback) and getting Team Coach/Scout “mind-share” for the athlete with the goal of Athlete/Team placement.

We work with Freshmen – Senior High School, Junior-B, Junior-A, College, Semi-Pro and Professional Athletes.

We do not work with just any athlete.  Our athletes undergo a battery of tests to insure appropriate placement and scouting time-share.

Midwest Hockey Academy

(See brochure)  Our on-ice training Off-Season training consists of roughly 30 hours of scheduled ice.  The focus for the Academy is independent edge work, puck/stick work, shooting and passing.  There are team concept/elements however this form of on-ice training is more independent in terms of development.  Intensity, Intensity and Intensity.  Did we mention Intensity?

Midwest Injury & Recovery

We use a proven system and protocols that reduce the time to full recovery.  An athlete’s enemy when it comes to an injury is “time”.  “Time to recover” or shorting the time spent out of competition or training is our focus.  Our methods not only shorten the time to full activity and participation, we typically put the athlete in a better posture over all through our recovery process.
